Check the ground for the tank and sender.

There should be a black wire coming off the tank to the frame strap.

But the wire usually comes loose on the top of the sender

Only 2 wires on non- EFI. Pink and black. Pink is the gauge. I'll let you figure the rest out....

Yep

Hope that's your problem

Just make sure you get the correct sender

There are 2 line and 3 line senders look to see how many hoses you have coming out of the top of your tank

Thats how you can tell before you drop it
