81 Malibu classic rear end HELP!

Looking to put a posi in my 81 Malibu what do you all suggest? Would like to swap rear end but have no clue what is compatible. Any help would be greatly welcomed.. If anyone has anything for sale that would be great too. I dont get on here that much if you have any suggestions please call me 6157671549 thanks in advance.

A lot depends on what your doing with the car but if your thinking about racing anything you do to the 7.5 is like throwing money out your window. Do it once - do it right, I would suggest a 12 bolt, ford 9in, or a dana 60

A built 454 will shred a 7.5 if you ever hook. Unless you get lucky and find that 1 in a million deal, you will be spending over $1000 for a rear that can reliably take that abuse. The factory G body 8.5 rear would likely be the most economical if you can find one ready to bolt in. The 9 inch package looks really nice to me....In the end, it will be more money but its new and has huge aftermarket support. Don't forget to upgrade your driveshaft with 1350 u joints and slip yoke. The stock 3R parts are the weak point.
