Well the new mounts came in. The Engine sides are shorter than I thought.
They measure like 1.5" from bottom (part that would touch engine) to bottom of hole.
better yet...pic

Does that seem right?

Got the frame mounts on today! Yay!

Might have to pull the timing chain cover one more time before putting motor in...I haven't put the distributor in yet and i know the motor isn't at #1 TDC anymore lol.

Unless there is an easier way of checking that.

Take out number 1 spark plug put thumb over hole hand turn over engine you will feel the air pushing out, when it stops you just passed TDC by a hair. Put the distributor in with the rotor pointing to the number 1 spark plug.

When you go to start the car and it back fires through the carb you are 180 degrees out.

You can pull off the drivers side valve cover and watch the valves to make it a one shot deal.
