I appreciate it. Don't think I can drive that far yet as my neck is still pretty stiffI have a set on my parts car.Im in Indianapolis if you wanna make the trip. Ill have to go to my sisters to make sure there still in good shape.
I'll try that. Wouldn't grinding the heads off be enough to get the trim off?
Also what is your opinion on working on the inside of the fender??? Did you paint yours body color because I do not remember?
My lord there are many 10mm bolts and clips holding inner to outer!!!View attachment 148904View attachment 148905
Well it'll make it easier to paint inside of the fender. It's going to be a lot of work for each fender. To be expected and I've got the time. Just more difficult with basically one hand!I've only messed w/Malibus…. I never knew the inner structure for the other models fenders un-bolted from the outer skin.

Definitely need pics of your workI'm working on making new taller inner wells on some spare Malibu fenders. The inner/outer skins are spotted/welded together on my mock-up fender & the plastic inner well attaches to each @ different locations. I guess Malibu guys don't get access to the inside of the outer skin w/o cutting things apart.
There isn't much @ this point. I mocked up some ideas to help decide on a direction. I wish I had access to someone local & the ability to do 3D design but I need the clearance asap so primitive fab it is.Definitely need pics of your work
