I have a question. Is there a specific order for the installation of the front grill and bumper and the rear as well? It's been 4+ years since I removed them. In other words should I install bumper first then plastics? What is the best procedure ? Thanks guys for all the continued help 👍

Wet sanded and used a plastic polish with my orbital polisher. Lenses came out pretty well. Installed taillights, trim, etc with all LED bulbs. Don't know if I'm digging the black around the reverse lights. Need to see it from further away but windstorm and rain today and didn't want to open garage.

I'd mount the bumpers first then the fillers. Just don't tighten them up too much in case you need to move the bumpers up, down, or sideways.

I need some direction. The rear tail light assembly is plastic. Before I ruin anything can someone briefly explain the prep and primer steps?
Can I use the same epoxy primer?
Do I use adhesion promoter? (I have Bulldog)
Also the 'chrome' is going to be black if that matters
Thanks
Interesting on the factory writing (85 Cutlass) when mine is an 84. Guess it was made later in the year View attachment 209681View attachment 209682
One thing I have learned is that etch prime sticks to ANYTHING! Back in the late 90's in the body shops everyone was having issues with getting paint/primer to stick on plastic bumpers. Old school painter always used etch prime and never had a problem. I have always done it on plastic and of all kinds and also never had an issue.

I haven't used an etch primer yet on this build. Trying to decide what to do with Chrome bumpers and keep hearing to use an etch primer also. I need to clean bumpers and check how bad they are.

keep in mind etch is very thin and isn't designed to have a lot of film build so if you've got something that's been blasted or something on the rougher side it's better to use something with more coverage/build.epoxy or another two part dtm primer.

I feel more comfortable using epoxy. On everything. Lol
