84' Cutlass pro touring build

I’m digging the black on the trim.

It’s different and stands out in a good way imo.

But my wife says I have no taste, so take it FWIW 😉

BTW - great progress!!! I’ve been following and it looks spectacular!

I haven't used an etch primer yet on this build. Trying to decide what to do with Chrome bumpers and keep hearing to use an etch primer also. I need to clean bumpers and check how bad they are.
I feel more comfortable using epoxy. On everything. Lol
your car is looking great I like the blackout, I’m debating doing the same . i also agree epoxy would be my choice on the bumpers

I am not good at being creative. Picking colors and designing is particularly difficult.
And thank you.

Windshield trim installed pretty easily. Hood hinges etc. Need to block out the high build on hood and cut in vents. Glamor shot of brake lights ✨

Can't tell if it's the angle of the image or what.... Ate the driver & pass side cowl ledge/tray the same color/paint?

In the images they look quite different. Not sure if it's color or sheen I'm seeing. If I noticed it, other prob can as well.

Looks like you’re missing a hood to go with that nice fancy painted hood spear you’ve got installed on there… 😅

You are correct. I believe it is powder coated. I will most likely spray it when all is said and done. I still have to touch up quite a bit in engine compartment.

Progress is slow but progress nonetheless. Cold weather has given me what must be arthritis in my arm/hand. And you know when you have a day where nothing you do comes out well.... you should walk away. But I kept at it. Fixing mess ups left and right. De anodizing the trim. Prepping for paint. Etc. The quarter glass was quite a bit of work. I bought a roll of 3M ceramic IR tint 35% and had at it. Not perfect but not bad.
