I totally agree. If they did that they would have made too much internal competition for the camaro and firebird.
Exactly, why buy an Fbody when you can be just as disappointed but still have a real back seat for extra curricular activities.

I reckon the LG4 with the T5 and the 3.73 would have been a fun driver for the time. Imagine if late in the run they put the TPI with a stick in there. The could have beens.

Early next year we are planning on putting a t5 in my buddies 86 MC with that good OL 305 powerhouse. Should be fun for what it is.

Back when carbureted 2.8's and Iron Dukes were plentiful, an LG4 with a T5 and a 3.73 would have seemed quick. The malaise era.

A little more progress today. I got the drivers side exhaust manifold *ctsv gen 2 fit very good* installed and torqued down. I move on to getting the 2500 chevy PS pump and bracket installed. Ended up using 1 of the 2500 truck lines to the hydrobooster and the rest are the factory nash lines with a little tweeking.

Crushed my finger getting those dam 18mm flare nuts off! Next I installed the 4 core radiator. It didn't seem to fit well with my radiator hold down. Might have to play with it to allow a better fitment.

Man this intercooler fits bearly behind the stock grill. I had to trim some of the bottom inner of the grill but it fits and looks good.
