They're great until they let loose and spin in the hole!I knew you'd like those rivet nut things. When I change the front doors on my truck I think I'm going to mount my mirrors with them

Shhhhh, I thought that happened last night but it was my imagination. They make it way easier than needing a 2nd set of hands to tighten bolt/nut combos. They're great until they let loose and spin in the hole!
The steel ones definitely need the large gun. I sold plenty when I managed a Fastenal branch.I find that not all of them crush easily like a molly. Some actually require an installation tool, kind of like an oversize rivet gun to crimp them on. I found out after purchasing some at Fastenal.

The one I got is like a regular rivet gun and seemed to work fine on these since they're aluminum.
That's a good gun, I sold Astro Pneumatic. I also sold Marson pneumatic guns that ran over $2K a unit. However, the customer that bought them is a large OEM production facility making poly intake manifolds for many auto mfg's and using thousands of rivnuts a day.https://www.ebay.com/p/Astro-Pneumatic-1442/1395653080?iid=191695557623
i've had this gun for a few years, works well.
