If that's the case I might unhook it. With the aftermarket belts there is no provision for the seatbelt wire. Obviously I'll know whether my lights are on or off.87-88 chimes were weird. They're 7 pin outs per the wiring diagram, but interestingly, there's no purple/pink wire pigtail shown in the schematics in the CSM, so not sure where that goes, if it's input or output. I've never had one of those years apart so not sure what's in it.
There's switched in power, and full power and power when the driver seat belt isn't latched, or headlamp switch on and key off, etc.
Hell if I know. I'll get a close up pic later when I get home. Why would there be an out? Isn't the "chimer" built in the unit?

Some chimers act as relays for other crap too. Not sure about the 87-88 chimers. 86 and below don’t use the same chime module per the parts book. I know they don’t really act as relays for anything. Why would there be an out? Isn't the "chimer" built in the unit?
Yeah, could be that. I know they had the blinker reminder chime available as a kit or accessory or some crap back when I bought my 85 new, but not sure what that entailed. Not like your dumbazz couldn't see a green arrow still blinking on the dash. Maybe it was for the blue haired old ladies... 🙂I think the reason may be that the 87--88's had the blinker reminder chime? Not sure but they are definitely different.
Yep, that's the one! Any literature on what that plug hooks to?87-88 chimer They're usually beige in color. but I guess could be any color.

My 87 CSM has NOTHING about the pigtail. There may be something on another schematic page, but I'm not going to sift through 400 pages of crap for it. On page 76-0 of the 87 Cutlass Supreme CSM, it shows the "convenience center", aka "chime module". 7 pin connections, but nothing on a pigtail. I didn't do a deep dive so I might have missed something but so far I haven't seen anything.Yep, that's the one! Any literature on what that plug hooks to?
No worries, it's been that way awhile and had the car running with no I'll effect so it should be fine. My BIL taped and labeled it, I'll look under there in a bit and see if there is a mating connector with the same label. My 87 CSM has NOTHING about the pigtail.
