87 cutlass headlight problem

No that's the turn signal switch. Here is the dimmer switch....

On Rock Auto search "Dimmer Switch" after you put in your car's information.

That should be adjustment of the dimmer switch (it slides on it's mounting "ears". Check out the youtube video earlier in this post if you are not familiar with it.

I hadn't yet watched that video until now. Hmm. Maybe my arm is just right on the fringe where it is long enough in the lower position but not in the upper position. I'll have to check it out... sometime. 😉

did you test anything with a circuit tester to if you can find the problem?

Yea I tested the wires I can see and the seem good
And somebody told me they have a wire by the starter and if it's bad it should be soft

do you have power going to the light switch and power on the wires coming from the switch when you turn the lights on?

Yea power is going to the switch when I pull out the light switch it even make the headlight noise . I use a Hotwire to make sure my headlight wasn't bad and they was working
