I hope you guys realize that primer isn't paint and it's porous so it does not protect the metal like paint does.

Yeah, don't know if you've seen my car as of lately, but it no longer has it "flat grey" paint job for that exact reason. My car doesn't get wet anyways, or even stay in a humid environment.
