Car looks good! Did you put a high volume pump in and check the clutch pack clearances?
2004R’s or fussy transmissions and clearances are critical
Yes, clearances were checked. Did not change pump. They do not make more pressure they just take out pulsing

It's cold this morning and cloudy. I got the valve body dropped out. I put the pan back on so it could drip drain out into it. A very messy job with fluid running down your arm into clothing. I'm done with it today. Maybe tomorrow drill it and put it back together

I've went back over my book from CK. He says that if you're making more than 250hp, a must is to enlarge separator plate 2-3 shift hole to .140
In the Transgo instructions it says .093 for mild or .110 for wild
I'm going to go .140 and drill case to dual feed 3rd clutch.
This in theory should stop the flare shift on 2-3 upshift
If trans still does not work, a pressure gauge is needed to see if pressures are to spec
My flare is happening on normal accelleration. I've not tried WOT yet. This is to me a pressure thing

After swimming in transmission fluid on my back and under the car, I'm pleased to report NO MORE 2-3 upshift flare. No wide open throttle hits cause I want to put some miles on the self rebuilt trans first. I did take the car back out after I did the video because I forgot to check the downshift. It's fixed too. So no more flare shift and it will kick down a gear when I floor it

That's a long video brother but you make it interesting with the commentary. Congratulations on defeating the 200-4R. Y'all take care up there.

Oh, and I hope you don't sell it.

Decided to go ahead and sell this Regal for $2500. Some may think it's too high but you couldn't build it for that. I have a 55 Belair 4 door found. It was driven into a shop in the mid 90s and left. I have ton's of extra 55 parts here.

NO !!! ....but $ 2,500 is a deal for the work you put into this car , in normal times I would be on it like a fat kid on a smartie.
