The 350 is 100$ cheaper from the same place 1195
Thats a healthy core charge...and I'm sure freight paid by you too...

but they do make sure you know "it's remanufactured, not rebuilt" :ROFLMAO:

Found this also....

That company has a 350 2bolt main long block with vortec heads for $100 cheaper.

Not cheap but nice to know the 305 is not just a throw away motor and might be a future popular project. Like I said for my project, I'm looking for a decent HP car for daily driving and the 305 can be the base. I already have it so I just not need to be stupid about my build. In other words don't spend so much that it would have been better to just get a 350.
Seams like there is lots more support for the 305 than I thought.

For the record I haven't made up my mind yet, but I like the direction this is going. Sorry to hijack the thread.
