One must remember that it is easy to get the fuel in but you need 14 times more air. I agree, too much carb
I have always thought this way and later I would only run "Holley style" carbs with my last one being a Quickfuel 1150 that actually uses a Holley HP main body, this carb worked great and it was a given that when I stepped up to a 1250 that I would order a Quickfuel.I would stay away from the Holley brand and buy one of the other Holley style carbs.
Holleys quality is garbage
hard to beat a q jet. If anybody needs to know how to fix a wore out throttle shaft let me know
It's funny you should mention that. I'm in the middle of rebuilding a Q-jet carb, but at a standstill because there seems to be too much play in the primary throttle shaft. It's pretty much done except for rebushing the baseplate.hard to beat a q jet. If anybody needs to know how to fix a wore out throttle shaft let me know
I would just buy a less expensive Holley street carb or Quadrajet for the 355 and buy a nice more race oriented carb for the 427 since the two engines are completely different animals.
