best spark plug

AC Delco is best for our cars but Champion has a better selection of heat ranges in my opinion. I've been able to cure part throttle pinging with slightly cooler Champions. Another thing about the Platinum and Iridium plugs, they are meant for "waste-fire" type ignitions where one coil fires two cylinders, one on the power stroke and one on the exhaust stroke. Standard plugs cannot survive this type ignition system due to the polarity reversing itself back and forth. That said, I love AC Rapidfire and Iridium for my newer cars.

I've used Autlite's, Bosch and NGK. All seemed fine. Edelbrock recommends NGK for their heads and I know a lot of Olds guys swear by them so I decided to give them a try.

well I'm running a 350 Chevy motor with 10 1/2 pistons and a 750 Holley.so i'm trying to determine the best ones to use.i was going to go with the Bosch platinums.

AC or Autolite for the V-8s and have had no failures. I have pulled several failed Bosch plugs out of customers' cars. The center electrode fractures inside the insulator and drops down. I use NGK V-power in the imports and newer domestic smaller engines. The only NGK failure I've ever seen was on my 240z that had been in hibernation for 2 years.

I use the NGK V-power plugs. They seem to be very reliable. I've also used Bosch platinums, Accel U-grooves, Bosch Supers.
I like the NGK's the best.

I haven't used them yet, but based on most of what I have read here, I bought AC Delco from Summit......I gave $20.55 for them shipped to my door, and they gave me $20 Summit bux to use .

Oh Yeah!! I have heard of people calling them Scummit, for apparently some bad dealings with them, I guess, but I have been using them for 10 years and have nothing but great things to say about them.

When i first got my 86 cutlass,i always wondered why it ran so sluggish and low on power, when i changed the oil, added an open element and removed the air system it still didnt help, couldnt even do a burnout. When i changed the plugs,i instantly felt a difference in performance. As it turns out,the 307 had accel shorty plugs in it,that made it run like sh*t,i switched to A/C Delco and it ran better.I have had NGK,A/C and champion, all run excellent compared to those shorty plugs :puke:

i just bought a set of those short header plugs from accel.i wondering if i wasted my money.
