3/4 race cam is an old flathead guy term.

Which then branched out to every other brand? Like "POSI"?

Happy new year Guys; Thanks for the entertainment, I'm only reading to page 12 at this time, I've got a foot + of snow waiting out in the drive way for me and it's 8* out with lots of wind. Anyway I have the ability to confuse spell check, so give me a break every now & then. Why do park in a drive way and drive on parkway?
This is one of my nit-picks and I hope I qualify as an old man as I only admit to lmg (late middle aged). When someone calls a wheel a mag, it can be steel, aluminum or any combo of materials but it is NOT a mag. My neighbor has Real magnesium wheels on his Wilies (spell check?) Overland and they are very dark gray. Call everything else alloy's you can't go wrong as most wheels are alloyed with something in addition to the base material, even mags would fall into alloy wheel category. Even styled steel wheels are made of various alloys, but they are Not mags. I feel better now, thanks Bob Jr.
PS: Oh I should mention when he purchased the Willies it only had 2 mags, so after 2 years of searching he found 2 more and I think he paid over $2000.00 for them, they aren't cheep!

Probably already mentioned but computerized phone answering services. "Thank you for calling *******, your call is greatly appreciated all of our reps are busy now". Really if that were true I would not have to wait a half hour to talk to somebody that does not have a clue.

If you read any of the great Henry Gregor Felsen books from the 50's, you get that 3/4 race stuff. From what I researched, unlike today there were very few cams available for the Hot Rodder. Full Race was a balls out, long duration, high lift, race track only cam. Totally unstreetable. Then it broke down to 1/4 race, 1/2 race, 3/4 race. 3/4 being the ballsiest you dared run on public highways. 1/4 being a nice boost above dead stock. 1/2 race between the two. You get the picture, so bragging rights went to the 3/4 race guy. I may be old, but I'm not nit-picky at all. Life is too short.

What's even worse is when they ask you to press one for English....

Bonnewagon.. I love that pic... We've all been there numerous times.

How every 350 is out of a vette.
"full spool" In there a half spool? Yes, there is a mini spool, but is is just a smaller spool.

I had a few more, but forgot. :blam:

Sadly, boasting of the engine being from a 1975 'Vette would be laughable. . . though sometimes I wonder if it's ignorance, or hoping the buyer is ignorant, when the year isn't specified on that.
