4K for a wrecked Cutlass there's my pet peeve.

Idiots with junk asking ridiculous prices thanks to these televised car auctions and Land Pirate TV shows

Yah the aftermarket chrome dipstick's for Olds V8's need the end ground down to fit the hole and is too loose in the hole on the ribs. I bought one from Supercar's Unlimited, zinc plated and looks to actually fit, over twice the cost but worth it. Throw away a good Qjet which just completely superior to Edelbrock design and set up for their motor if it is the stock carb, plain retarded. Nearly every terrible running car on the Olds site's I go on have one common denominator, an Edelbrock carb. Why people buy them is beyond me. Every aftermarket carb needs tuning to be perfect but the Street Demon and Quick fuel carbs always run decent out of box, Edelbrock's way too often there are issues.

That is a $1000 car at best. The driver's side actually looks good, but the rotten cut up hood and smashed in side bring down the value big time. Cutting and welding in panels is not something everyone can do and body work is not cheap. Sounds like a good running 350 Buick which should have the 800 cfm Qjet, not a 750. My car is no hell but if I sell it, I would start at $2500, maybe $3000 but would take $1000, after taking all the parts I want off it and cheap parts in place of them😉.

That is a $1000 car at best. .

The door jam is wrecked and the hit goes up the b pillar the roof has rot holes in it.

Seller even tells you he beats the crap out of the drive train because he claims in his own words..

"Only bad thing bout car is you'll always need new tires" "Lost control and whipped out"

i guess he hit his head pretty hard!!

An air filter on the exhaust heat riser???????????

This seller would be better off keeping his mouth shut pulling the engine, sell it for a couple of hundred and run like hell.

This is a brilliant idea having a heated pcv breather system for those cold weather start ups, he better hurry and submit his patent before someone steals his idea.

Drum brakes. WHY??!!?? Why are they still using rear drum brakes? Even our cars could have been built with 4 wheel discs since they were readily available on '79 Firebirds as an option. Our cars are just downsized versions of the popular "A" bodies- why not go first class and switch to 4 wheel discs across the board? From a parts inventory perspective alone why would you want two sets of parts for the same car? And why would you want five times the parts for drum brakes when discs are so simple? Cost? Give me a break. When all your models use the same parts- costs go down. And worst of all- maintenance. Discs are so easy- drums so horrible. I don't get it and it pisses me off.

Mark I think it was for pro
Parts store dipsticks in older cars that CLEARLY don't fit worth a damn. Worked on this guy's '73 Pontiac Grandville Convertible with a 400 Pontiac, just installing an edelbrock carb (he gave me his qjet, which was perfectly fine, it's also an 800cfm and P/O told him it was a 455, I almost hated to point that out to him), gaudy 28 inch wheels all gouged to hell from rubbing everything, tires all sliced up, drywall screws everywhere, and a stupid steering wheel. It was like a 10" wheel that seemed to be made of fake ivory and had a negative dish, the center was out more than the rim. And he was running the thing on ONE quart of thinned out gassy oil. There was a lifter tap, and that stupid way too long parts store dipstick was HITTING THE CRANK SHAFT going fubudafubudafubudafubudafubuda
ANYWAY, long story short, just stupid senseless mods made by stupid senseless people that make the car harder to drive, harder to work on, and just a pain in general.

how did you know it was a 400 and not 455, on Pontiac engines an intake from a 326 will fit the 400 and 455...
