Biggest mechanical pet peeve

Mark I think it was for pro

how did you know it was a 400 and not 455, on Pontiac engines an intake from a 326 will fit the 400 and 455...
There is a little casting boss on the back near the dizzy that denotes if it is a 455. The 400 did not have it. It's part of the block, so it'd be hard to remove. I did like his M/T valve covers though. Had a dual pattern edelbrock intake on it.

Nice engine with loose sloppy wiring and stickers of parts you don't have on the car
Hmmm, my G body is like that. In my defence only a few of the stickers don't match and the wiring was hacked bad when I got it.

if you are talking about the transfer lug, the triangle at the back of the engine on the passenger side the 73 SD 455 didn't have the transfer lug...

The hacked wires have to be the biggest pet peeve I have. Why do people think they can add any wire in part in with ease just to cut wrong wires, tap into the wrong circut, use duct tape, leave wires poorly insulated, use the wrong gauge/type of wire, use the worst/cheapest wire taps & ends, recreate a circut, & call it custom but it looks like a big bowl of spaghetti.

I agree and one my 70 with little wiring they will be taped and loomed. My G body has cut wires everywhere that do nothing. I have added more looms and tape to mostly cover the mess.

Yes, I know that. But this car would not, and does not have an SD 455.

Do people who ask $4000 for junk like this actually think there is one person in the world that is 1) dumber than they are AND 2) has $4000 burning a hole in their pocket?

Our public education system is failing us.
That price made me laugh the most. Runner up is that custom Cold to Hot air intake he installed.
