Anyone know of a place where I can get one? Summit sold me one for a SBC, and none of my local part stores carry ANYTHING that even mentions the word Buick. Any suggestions? My V6 one rotates freely, but doesn't freewheel it still takes some force to spin it and it worked on the engine before it died. Could I just use that and swap fans?

On the new fan clutch the hole for the uh, I guess let's call it a "stud" protruding out from the water pump is too shallow. It is supposed to sit flush with the water pump where the studs screw/press in, but it's about an inch too shallow. My V6 one fits fine.

The hole in the fan most of the time is deeper then the stud on the pump, but it can be a tight fit

The stud is only about a inch

It's kind of hard to see, but the stud on my water pump it is about an inch longer. It fits snuggly in the v6 clutch shaft hole, but it bottoms out in the new one and wobbles about.

I just went out and looked at my G/P it has the 231 the clutch fan is not the same as the SBC that I posted. The way I have tested the clutch fan is by spinning it it should not spin one turn if spun by hand. I have had one that did not slip at all but it would not spin by hand as it was froze up solid. If you can spin it freely it is bad.

Check RockAuto, they have a couple of thermals not very expensive. EDIT: for V-6 not for 350. Hmmmm, I know they are the same though. EDIT again- they have it for the '75 350, I guess you need to go back to when you got a a real Buick in a Buick. Search- BUICK 1975 LESABRE 5.7L 350cid V8 Cooling System Radiator Fan Clutch
