Really? Freaking awesome. I can't get the Car till tomorow. I hope so. I have a 600CFM Holley on my Cutlass. But man if it's got that 800CFM Carb All I'll need is a 3" Pypes Dual kit and it ought to scream.
I nabbed an 800cfm off a '76 toro at the junkyard a week ago. Yours should be 800cfm as well. Look down the primary barrels. It will have a visual bump in the wall next to the stem for the booster on both primaries.

I figured a Big block Olds Was a Big block Olds. I'm sure I can make it fit

When I was working in a shop in Florida in the 80's I rebuilt an engine for a Toronado, As far as I remember the block on a FWD and RWD were the same, it's just the oil pan is different

You are correct about the blocks, but the exhaust manifolds are specific for a toro. The toro oil pan will work as well plus it holds an extra quart of oil so win win. The intake is different since hood clearance is an issue with the fwd 455.

It Won't Break my heart if I have to cut a Big hole and put on a hood scoop.

The toro intake is a low profile to clear the hood. As soon as you look at it you'll see the difference.

Thanks, it has been many decades and that was the only GM FWD from that time frame that I have done any engine work on...I must be thinking of a different FWD vehicle with the oil pan.

As said, the oil pan will work and you should have plenty of hood clearance. The manifolds maybe be an issue. What year 307 do you have? The regular 307 manifolds will work on the 455, just eliminate the awful crossover pipe, if you haven't already. The Y pipe on the Tornado will need narrowing. What trans is behind your 307? I found a 74 455 and long tail TH400 for $500. A good deal here. By the time I shorten the driveshaft, buy a yoke, find a carb and buy a new rad it will be double that easy. How good is your radiator? Olds 455's tend to run hot. I have Sanderson shorty Olds 350 headers on the car that MIGHT work with the 455 due to the different deck height. The BOP TH350 I have to go in the car is questionable at best, the 455 has big torque. I have a good running Olds 260 to drop in the car for near free to keep it mobile.

I don't know exactally what year my 307 is. It's an early one with 5A Heads. The car was a Diesel 350 originally and The original owner put in the 307 before the Guy I bought it from had it. The Trans is a Th200 that Auto shifts at 3krpm, I can manually shift it later though. and the Rear is 2.14:1 in the 7.5". Sloooooooowwwwww.
I know that stuff has got to go or it will be in pieces. The radiator in my cutlass is Brand new and Aluminum, but I might see how good the Toronado one is and try to move it over. I've been thinking about putting my Tax return into an Art Carr 200 4R (500-750hp) $2409! but since my Goal is 400 HP I think it would be nice to have a Trans I can be over confident in with all of that Big block torque. When I can would like to get a set of the G Body headers for Olds Big block. I had no Idea that the 307 manifold could work. That would be a nice Temp way to get it in there till I can afford some Headers. I just figured that I'd have to toss both Manifolds. The Toro will just be a Back up car for the most part. I might care more later after the Cutlass is good and fast.
