Butthurt seems to be flowing in this thread in different directions. A thread about car show rants. In the General discussion. Understanding where you are makes a difference.
IMO, nobody needs to be told what forum they should be in at any certain time, and there shouldn't be jabs taken at any forum member here. The car show scene is the target to release any gripes and complaints about. NOT the people. Most of it's all BS'ing anyway.
I'm not a PC person, but we could do with a little more respect to each other here instead of throwing sh*t at each other like monkeys in a zoo cage. Hate to say it, but I don't think anyone's going to suddenly change their viewpoints and this thread could be 1000 posts long and that won't happen. But we can do with a bit more civility TOWARD EACH OTHER. OK? Can we at least agree on that? I know nobody listens to me, but c'mon.
We're better than this. Let's keep the whining in this thread about the game, not the players.

Which is obviously where the threads belong that you seem to think this one is supposed to be, which it obviously isn't, which is why it belongs here.

I think everyone needs to take a major chill pill here. What attracted me initially to GBF was the friendliness, helpfulness, and diversity of backgrounds on here. You've got young guys, old guys (maybe a few gals?), rich guys, not-so-rich guys, DIY-ers, DIFM-ers, guys that build sub 10-sec drag cars, guys that are restoring stock diesels (yes, they are on here), guys happy with the stock 3.8 or 5.0, guys into LS swaps, guys that hate LS swaps, wagon guys, coupe guys, sedan guys. Anyway...You get the picture. I appreciate all of them, and they all have something to contribute. JAMCAR223, I think maybe an attitude of appreciation and friendliness would go a long way. Look, as many here have said, we're happy for your accomplishments, and glad you're so passionate about car shows. But coming on here just to brag about your show wins...What does it do to help build the GBF community? Maybe consider posting information about future shows, share some tech tips, referrals to good mechanics or vendors, or asking or answering a few questions. Just a thought...
