so im doing the swap tomorrow! just wondering a few things, how do I remove the drive shaft from the transmission?
I heard all the ATF leaks out, whats a good way to plug it?
Thanks
Drain it and tie a bag over the end after you pull the driveshaft out, i think they sell plugs but im pretty sure you dont want to wait to get it one in the mail, or you could just leave it in and support it with a jack while you swap in the motor

Hey man engine looks great, but one thing I noticed is the pushrod holes in your heads. The tip of the rocker should have hardly any side to side movement on the valve stem. You have to run guide plates or a self aligning rocker with those heads or the rockers will jump all around. If the head had slotted pushrod holes you could run regular rockers. Hate to see you have problems with your new engine. The newer style oem heads were like that and that's why they ran the self aligning rockers. Also for your driveshaft issue just take a spare driveshaft and take off the front yoke and use as a plug.
Can't tell for sure but they look fairly big to me and would allow alot of pushrod movement, but I could be wrong. From my experience if it had holes instead of slots, run self aligning to avoid excessive rocker arm side movement. But like I said it could be ok. Go to RHS's webside and read all the small print. http://www.racingheadservice.com/Information/Technical/Heads/TechSheets/12407_IS.pdf
I believe to my understanding that they say to run plates or self aligning rockers. Maybe I'm not reading it correctly.
just got the old engine out, does anyone have any idea how to get the motor mounts out? the back part that is bolted to the frame. I cant get any wrench into the little hole to reach the bottom nut. please help!
