I just wonder if it will hit while the engine is running and the car moving. Maybe you should put some kind of limiter on the driver's side to prevent movement. I dunno, maybe I am worrying too much, but when it is running, the engine does move around a bit due to vibrations and shock due to hitting bumps.

Would have been a nice time to switch to an aluminum core support. Everything looks nice. When I put the big Cad in I had to switch to an angled oil filter mount from a Cad 425 to clear that same section of frame only on the bottom corner between it and the sway bar. It will be interesting to see what your car runs in the 1/4 and what kind of mileage you get. Good luck keep it up and keep us posted.

PS Are you going to make the AC work?

i'll answer that with a fact and then an opinion. yes, you can convert an LT1 to carb (however you might still need the ECM for the ignition, since the LT1 had a very unique set-up)-fact opinion--WHY???? would you want to. the lt1's strength is in it's EFI. if you want the same power with a carb, build a gen1 350 and keep things simple. no efi does not produce more power than a PERFECTLY tuned carb, but it maintains tune in various temps, humidities, and altitudes. which a carb, obviously, will not.
