Well, if you do digitize the file, this semi-skilled malcontent would be interested in an email. [email protected]
Thanks

May have to wait a while due to school restarting on Monday. Maybe I can just scan them at scale vs. plotting them in CAD?

I'm in no rush. Hell, you can trace the patterns on newspaper with crayons.
They're restarting school up there, huh? Ours are spoda go back at the end of the month, yet they just canceled small group special ed and winter sports.

My schooling, not the kids - they are home for an extra week thanks to the latest ineffective lockdown. I am probably going to have to sacrifice the last two days of my vacation (Monday, Tuesday this week) to make up the difference. Our oldest's skating lessons just got parked for the foreseeable future - FFS. The good news is it started snowing like crazy and we now have a decent sledding hill in the backyard; and judging by Natasha's loud Mom-voiced instructions from the back door someone is about to get a broken leg or concussion.

Interesting comparison video:

For those wondering I was under the car with a pair of fans blowing fresh air in (trunk and doors open, plus all the holes I cut in the body - LOL) and a larger fan blowing from the back of the garage toward an open garage door (~18-24") roughly 4 feet away from the work area and another open window to promote air flow.

Most of the time I was laying down to keep my head out of the cloud. Given that I used an entire 2 pound spool to complete the job, it was a fair bit of usage, and the garage wasn't filled with smoke so the ventilation was good. Visibility or breathing under the car was never an issue so it was likely minimal exposure... or dumbage.

Despite a nasty back spasm I did a thing.

Made these spacers for the stock bolts to keep the deformation to a minimum. The nuts and bolts were used to keep the dimensions so the heim joints and spacers can slide in easily.

Then I went all kill it with fire:

Unwillingly switched from flux to sold wire when I ran out. Truthfully solid wire makes nicer welds, but it demands a lot more of the welder to get the heat into the plate.

Here's where I had to switch wires. Oh the swear words - LOL.

So at least these are in now... rear bracing starts soon.

So do you plan to run the UCA's considerably shorter than stock since the pickup point looks to be moved closer to the rear.

I assume the motivation in adding those tabs is to fix the instant center when you go the low-low.

The kit from Trick which includes these brackets, comes with the shorter UCAs to achieve the desired result. This is all about getting the suspension geometry correct, effective even, once the car is slammed. Da duh duh....
