I had a cam bearing fall out when I pulled cam. Block was fine. The new bearings went in tight. I’ve gone 5k miles on it.

I didn't take a pic of mine but other than the bearing seized to the camshaft everything else looks good. I have the engine loaded to take to the machine shop in the morning. I'll get a few pics then.

SOLD MY DONOR TRUCK YESTERDAY! Ordered billet 10" 2800 stall converter from Animal Performance Transmissions. a pair of UPR upper control arms( they look very sturdy), new lifter trays, Going to call Jeg's tomorrow to order the Holley LS swap kit.

Didn't buy the seats from the 84 MCSS. They had been exposed to weather for several years.

Holding off on the Holley swap kit until my block is inspected. If it is damaged I will be in the market for an LY6 shortblock. If it is not damaged I'm going to go ahead with a bottom end rebuild for $600 or so.

Just got some great news. My block and rotating assembly are all good! I'm one happy son of a gun right now. Getting new rings, lifters, lifter trays, oil pump, all new bearings. I'm going to have a new engine.

Picked up my block from the machine shop. Pretty much everything is new. 3 bolt cam installed. ARP hardware. Have other things to do this weekend and likely most of next week. Sold a house and will be moving stuff into storage and closing. Moving a large shed from the sold house to my house and filling it with lawn care stuff to free up space in my garage. Still waiting on my torque converter. Any day now. Will need to go salvaging for ECM mount, throttle cable, MAF (for the temp control).
