Ok I will take a waterpump with ac and I will put theses plugs on it.

I need to change the belt too because with the accident it was out and was a bit crushed ! Do I need special tools to do that ? To withdraw the pulleys ?

For the thermostat, actually I'm not sure I have one as it is always hot here ! Where is it ? I would like to check that! In the waterpump?

Thanks

The thermostat is under the waterneck.

I have a question :
I would like to change the belt which is a bit ruined.
On mine its written 10x1450 mm. But on rockauto I dont find a belt with exact same length? Is it normal ?20191220_063124.jpg
There are some from 1105 to 1501 mm, I dont know which one to choose ??

Thanks a lot!

50 mm is half a centimeter...probably enough adjustment to compensate either way.

Looking into this a bit more, the slack is taken up in two places, power steering pump plus alternator; tighten the power steering pump adjustment to set that belt, then adjust the alternator for the longer alternator belt. If there is a size on the power steering belt, let us know that size too...replace them as a set. The reason you have an odd-ball belt size is probably due to this exact problem. Belts are notoriously hard to get right, so we'll try to set you up for success half-way 'round the world.

Looks like you have the heavy duty cooling pulley setup. I have found new belts stretch like crazy, I go two to three sizes smaller than stock to make up for it.

Hi guys!!
I give you some news of my oldsmobile :
I received the parts 2 weeks ago !
So I withdrew the olds fenders and core support which was bent.

I treated against rust and painted the new core support.
I changed the waterpump which was bent, and the fan and clutch fan.

I put the new champion radiator, the transmission cooler, and the fan shroud.

Filled with cooling fluid the radiator.

Tried to start yesterday, it started !! but idle was rough, I had to keep the foot on the throttle.. I finished by overflooding the engine with gasoline.

So today I disconnected gasoline hose and made the starter work to unflood the engine. It worked, I was able to run rhe engine for a few seconds and then stalled. But then one time out of 2 tries the starter did only "click". So I decided to change the battery even if it was still having a good voltage.
With the new battery, it still worked one time out of 2, and now not at all : the starter only clicks : I have made a video :
I tried to hit the starter with a tool, it worked at first but it doesnt work anymore...
The car has not been turning since october....
I put a jump wire between the a and b connectors of the solenoid and I got sparks, so I guess I have power there...
Should I change the starter?

Thanks a lots for your help!

Mickey

The extra cranking while trying to get the engine started probably did in the starter (time for a new one). You can test it off the car using your battery and jumper cables to make sure something else isn't in a bind (engine will turn). Before you try to start the engine again, tap on the carburetor float bowls to make sure the needle valves aren't hanging up, over-fueling the engine. I'm glad to see you are fixing the car. Good luck and keep the updates coming.
