Well....think I think I'm ready to sell this piece of sh*t. Every project seems to have something go wrong and stretch the damn job out for hours. If it's not one thing, it's another. 😐
Hate to say it but this ones on you for not getting the spring compressor FIRST as all the posts have said. The spring has to be the 1st thing removed (properly) and the last thing installed.

I ended up getting one that was 20 minutes away. Got the hinge back in but 2 bolts don't feel right when I'm putting them back in. Theyre trying to go in at a angle but hinge is flat in its spot...

If your door was really sagging bad for a long time prior to your hinge repair, sounds like the door and hinge plate may be bent .I would take the hinge back out and try putting the bolts in alone. If they still want to go in angled, that will show you have door damage.

The 3 bolts in the door went perfectly in. 1 bolt closest to the fender (on the car side) went in perfect too. The 2 bolts that are closest to the dash doesnt want to go in to easy.

If the bolts thread into the plate without the hinge. Attach something to them so you can use a slide hammer or something similar to pull the metal back into place. It sure sounds like the mounting plate is damaged.

take the kick panel out and thread the bolts through from the inside to clean/straighten the threads if you think you may have crossed them from the outside....
