Is the foam you used waterproof too? I know a guy that used an open cell urethane foam (a lot) on a DD and couldn’t figure out why the *ss was dragging so bad after a year. Ended up having to undo all the custom work he did to get it all out.

I wouldn't call any waterproof, But is water resistant, Use at work for sealing door frames & windows in houses & seal over outside. Does have urethane sealant between it & metal, & is not a complete fill, Does not block venting or drain holes.
Back to welding & grinding this morning.

Pics with wheel set out 3" .Planning on billet hub centric spacers later till I can afford wheels. I don't think the widening looks as drastic with black primer,as intended.

More block & sand tues night.
Wed night prepped surfaces & attached rear visor with panel bond & covered a few welds with it. Will be adding spline to roof to match hood & bedcover profile.

If your posting this at 3 AM, you sure are burning the midnight oil. Good idea for the ridge.

Yea, long hours at work. Got home a little after 9:00 fri, decided to eat & take the rest of the day off.
Bought the bedcover in to work since I gotta work on impatient customer's door Saturday. Will work on my own stuff between staining & clearcoating mahogany entrance door.

Did a little cleanup sanding before going to work sunday. I have a little of this fibertech fiberglass based filler that still hasn't gotten fully hard I need to finish removing. Forgot both my 6" sanders at work & the pad came apart on my 5" sander, so gave up on it for now. :blam: Got a look at things in daylight.

I think every overly wierd *ss, but bad *ss, black custom sheet metal hot rod needs a spline on the roof.
