haha well im happy with it i love mileybu to death i love pretty much everything about her the paint the wheels the motor i love when people ask about it at cruise night and car shows. she is 100 percent my dream car budd lol and that she can pass anything....... but a gas station

what kind of rear end is in her? and what gears are you running?

high geared junk. 10 bolt 2.58 or 2.62 i dont remember. it helps with the gas milage but my power dont kick in till about 2000 rpm. and it gets annoying cuz my cams power band starts around 3000 thats why i put in the 3000 stall converter to help me off the line which makes a huge diffrence in take off when i use it but the rear end is still to high geared i want somthin in the 3.08 to 3.48 range

Yeah those 2 series gears really do suck. I have 3:31's in mine and I love that gear. It's got plenty off the line and still allows me to get on the highway without running too many RPM's. If you could find a 3:42 posi out of a GN that would be perfect for you. Unfortunatly I had one last summer and sold it, and went with the 12 bolt instead.

how about this

the pontiac has a .040 400 pontiac engine with ported 13 heads, comp 240/248 @.050 solid flat tappet cam, trw forged pistons, stock "n" crank, rpm intake, 750 holley. the trans is th350 with a jw ultrabell, 3000 converter and tci pro superkit. the rear is a 7.5 with 3.42 gears and carrier from an s10 with a powertrax locker, moser axles and summit rear end girdle. so far its held up to 60 foot times in the mid to high 1.60s. the paint job was a freebie from a friend i installed an engine and trans for and the interior is empty except for 2 summit seats and a factory replacement carpet

Yea that would be perfect no doubts about it. 😀 I mean ive got no problems gettin the tires to light up but i really dont care about that as much as i used too. id just like alittle more acceleration in my quarter mile passes. and if i lay it to the floor i wont need to shift out of first at all to reach 60mph. first gear 60 mph at about 4500 rpm and it dont redline til about 5000. i can run 100mph in 2nd at about 4000. i dont care about top speed i just wanna go 0 to 60 really fast lol and still have low rpms at cruisin speeds
