wow, I'm impressed! Those are quick times for a first time. And you've got a hell of a motor to be running 14 dead on street tires with a 2.73 gear!
I bet staying in 2nd thru the traps is what's giving you so much topend.

I agree with a gear change, but be forewarned, the gears might not be hurting you too much. DO NOT expect a huge change if you do a gear change only. And Khan is right, it might put you in a dead spot in 3rd too.
A trap speed of 103 is very good, your engine is producing a lot of power.
Your 60 foot is really, really, really, really where you need to work. I had a hopped up 5.0 Mustang with a one wheel peel and I think I pulled a 2.5

after tweaking it alittle bit today, i got to wondering if my 4 barrel was working,as i had alittle bit of spark knock while trying to launch ,so today i did the paper clip test on it,and sure enough not opening,so know gonna try to fig that out

Those times are great for that rear end. I don't see how the secondariness weren't opening with those times.

i tried everything today to get them to open even went as far as taking out the check ball, and nothing, everything i tried i went out and redid paper clip test and nothing, even tried it with a twisty tie and nothing again, is there a way to test the diaphragm

you have a holley..can't you take it apart and inspect it?...I was close to you on Saturday, our race shop is in Parkhill

took it apart like 4 times today, but was told there was a way to test it, oh ya, went through parkhill saturday on way home,

forgot to add, when headed out to the track on sat, i put 45 bucks of gas in,gave just over 1/2 tank but less then 3/4, drove to the track,did 5 passes and drove back home and didnt have to get more till i got back home, sure ill fig this out

as long as the diaphragm is not ripped it should be good. That check ball is needed I think to regulate the vacuum from quick variances
