If the kid wrote the add, he's going to do well with the girls.🙄

I can criticize anyone choice of cars since I had a 1970 MGB identical to this one back in the late 70's ...

and since I had so much fun with that one......I my second one after my friends brother talked me into dropping a 327 into the 70 MGB which was a blast to drive for one day, I twisted the body and the doors were locked shut. This one was the 1st edition 1974, same color I had.

BUT, short enough you could hop in and out of with no need for a door

after a few beer we figured out if we backed up the car real hard a few times that might untwist the car. We never found out of it would work after the first few times and the cop who stopped us wasn't too happy with our explanation. He just told us to get the car home and take it off the road.....gotta love them good ole days....🙂

Steve,
Back in the day growing up in NY. A local gas station that campaigned a '41 Willys drag car had an MGTF with 327, powerglide, and Corvette rear in it. The car was nicely setup...and fast, too. Another guy in my neighborhood had an MGTD with a 283 in it. He ended up blowing the rearend and that was the end of that car.
I wouldn't mind an MGB-GT with a smallblock Ford in it.

My Son(I'm not proud to admit this) has been dailying this POS for the last 4 years. Bought the '83 944

for $0 because it needed a clutch, trans work and engine gaskets. He is a mechanic and is able to do the work himself. He loves the handling(50:50 weight distribution) and not concerned with racing or going fast. It was washed and waxed once and the interior is beat. It's amazingly rust free for the 33 years use in the salt belt - the body is made of good steel and much better quality than GM's of that era.

I'm late to the party.
Sorry to the owner, but if there's one thing I hate it's flat/matte/satin black with factory gloss red door jambs. Actually, I just hate any car that used to be gloss red on the outside but still is on the inside.

A friend from long ago had a '63 Chrysler Imperial Convertible. Red with a white top... and green jambs. It was beautiful as long as the doors, hood and trunk we're closed.

When I was that kid's age I had some dreams about cars so I never laugh at kids like him. We all have to start of somewhere and I probably thought my first car, a Volvo 124, was a real cool car.
Those things ARE cool and I have ideas for one of those too, if I ever come across one. Been looking for something quirky for a while now. So far I have a Mk1 Sirocco I am tossing several ideas around for. Time will tell if anything comes of it though.
