Started my TTR build for the blue bike. I bought a bottom end with a cracked case, then a nice matched pair of replacements. All the internal parts needed to be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled in the new cases.
Bottom end is sealed up now. I need the TTR head from the white bike to complete the build. Soooo, I did a parts shuffle this afternoon.
I honed the cylinder and tossed a set of rings at it while I had it apart. It went back together and fired right up with zero drama. Current white bike engine combo is XT225 bottom end with Chyknees YFM250 cylinder, piston, head, and cam. Theoretically it should trade top speed for low-end torque. I haven't had a chance to ride it hard enough yet to evaluate.
Not sure how soon I'll get back to the bench build. It's essentially a bone stock TTR225, nothing fancy. I did pick up a Mikuni TM33 pumper for it, but not sure it'll actually get used.

Clean and pristine. And destined to never look that nice from now on. Because it's going to work for the rest of its days.
