I just got back from a week in Yellowstone. Seen a ton of dead G bodys sitting while on the drive to and from. It was cool to see the park and wildlife but glad to be home
I was afraid you had a new project.I just got back from a week in Yellowstone. Seen a ton of dead G bodys sitting while on the drive to and from. It was cool to see the park and wildlife but glad to be home
Don't know. Did see a bunch of Vettes. Must have been a vette show or cruise. Just newer ones. Driving through Wyoming, I seen hundreds of old iron just everywhere in fields and yards. 40s to 60s stuff was abundant. I think 55-59 Chevy/GMC trucks were the most abundant. That stuff you don't see around here anymore. Went to Car Henge in Nebraska on the way back. Kinda neat but I hate seeing old cars rotting away. My wife said 'at least they are being enjoyed by people'. She really got pissed at me when I signed the guest book there. In the comment box I wrote POOR CARS. I'd love to have a pocket full of cash, a double stack semi trailer, and a driver to go back there. No telling what I missed when I slept in the back of the van while my brother in law, his wife, and my wife droveNice I have always wanted to go to Yellowstone.
Do they still have that huge car show there?
It was crowded and a bit pricey. The Snow Lodge at Old Faithful was very expensive. No air conditioning or TV and you had to pay extra for Wifi. Parking at the attractions sucked. Had to wait long periods just to park. There are walkways to the crater pools but they snake everywhere. We walked one mile just to get to one spot. Weather was 70s and 40s at night. 75% of the people there were foreigners. The walk ways are about 5 foot wide. My wife was walking behind me and I was far right on the walk way. The foreigners would walk 3 wide toward you and not move. Not sure where they expected me to go so a bunch of them got shouldered intentionally. I football knocked one dude because I got sick of it. He did not turn around and look back at me either and I was ready to fight. I'm not a big fighter or pretend to be a tough guy but when the temper is lost, it's next on the list. I will not go back but it is something to see once in your lifetime. We went on a chuck wagon ride to a spot to have steaks. There was a huge herd of buffalo we yelled at to get them to move off the wagon trail. It started a stampede and you could feel it as well as hear it. That was my highlight of the trip. So if you go, be prepared to walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, and walk some more. Also get a T shirt made with an arrow pointing toward your left saying keep right in Thai, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, French, and others. Not kiddingHow was traffic/lodging for Yellowstone? Friend at work went a couple years ago, said it was pretty crowded and pricey.
