Bar50 is coming this morning to help. I had a hell of a night with not much sleep from muscle cramps I'm robot walking this morning but I'll limber up in a bit. See you guys tonight

It was a thrash but it is running. Got to thank Bar50 for coming and helping for half a day. The only issue I have is the temp sender. The centerbolt heads have a small coolant port. The old school perimeter bolt heads have a big port. I put in a brand new coolant temp sender but it's not reading at all. I have another sensor I'm going to swap out in the morning (5 hours from now).

You should be able to use '81 up temp senders. My '81 229 & 305 used the smaller ones.

I guess we all have that waiting issue lol! Huge car show in Louisville this weekend and I'm sure I'll be waiting on her in a bit!

The cruise was cool. I filled up in Joplin, MO. My gas stop had ethanol fuel only so that's what I got. I forgot to tighten my distributor hold down tab so the timing was all over the place unknown to me. I was on about 4 hours sleep so mistakes happen. I pulled off on one exit and it died and didn't want to start back up. When I took off it was detonating bad. Stopped to eat and went out and set the timing and tightened the bolt. Seemed fine the rest of the way in but I didn't push it too hard on I-44 and 75MPH. I kept it at 65 because my temp sensor is not reading right. The distributor was advanced like crazy. I think I'm going to sleep for a couple days 🙂
