Got my gallon of reducer in today. Looks like no good weather for about a week. I'm wanting 2 nice days back to back to respray the bronze and stripe it with gold. Then gonna clear it all. I was originally going to lock down the bronze with a coat of clear before striping it. With as hard and dry as the base is getting even in cool weather, it will be fine to stripe it over base. At least after some sanding/buffing, there won't be a super heavy stripe edge. Gotta dig out my core support bushings and hardware to mount the core support. Going to hang the fenders before striping.

I think I may have that issue when I spray the Olds, When I spray the white base then after it flashes and sets up lay down the gold before the clear goes on, I may miss the window before clearing over the white if I take too long because I have only weekends to do this. I MAY shoot the white in single stage, wait for it to set up, wet block it, lay down the gold base then shoot clear just so I don't have lifting issues down the road. Us hobby painters have time against us when it comes to flash windows, especially in warmer weather

Looking great, keep up the good work!

I'd love to see how your paint work comes out. Going to try to paint in my garage as well, probably sometime this spring cause summers here in New England are crazy humid.

The cool thing about hanging plastic is that it has static cling to it. The dust just goes right to it. I tack rag between coats also to keep as much trash as possible out of the paint. I always sand and buff to get the perfect final anyway. Sometimes I don't buff the roof though unless its a show car. This car is going to be my only driver.

We had ice then snow over the top of that. The whole week looks cold and snowy. Damn, get that close to finish spraying color/clear and this crap hits. It don't look good for Daryl Starbirds big indoor car show in Tulsa either. I've been every year since 1991. Hopefully the forecast will change. It was funny taking my new puppy out in her 1st snow. After about the 3rd time out today she started playing in it. Funny stuff
