Hate to be one of those guys - bad starter solenoid?

Did you check the voltage on your battery? If your gauges are working then you definitely don't have enough to start the car.
On a side note if the car is sitting put a battery maintainer on it and you will always have a fully charged battery
Def investing in a battery maintainer haha

Yep, right on the positive post with the battery cable.
Under the car now - the fusible link connecting to the starter is pretty short - is there somewhere in the fuse block or engine bay that I can test for continuity between the starter terminal and the opposite side of the fusible link?
