Hellcat swapped GN

Looks like a video game rendering to me.

Underhood doesn't look like a G body. Cast iron master cylinder with wire cap lock.

Stamped steel inner fenders.

That is a rendering, my dude.

Also it recently sold:

So it's real, just the rendering and the car are on different levels of progress.

If the dude sold the car that close to being done it either had serious problems elsewhere, was burning cash at a furious rate, or got offered stupid money.

I'm fine with it. GN's aren't that rare, it could have been heavily harvested/parted out or a roller when he got it.

I'm anxiously waiting for blown hemis to get to their third owner. Then they crash a lot and engines hit the open market.

Well, think about it. GNs with only a few bolt ons cracked the b-pillars. Go up some horsepower from there and you fought chassis twist.

My guess is it could've been someone who was more of a neophyte to just how flimsy these cars are as far as reinforcement goes, they did the swap, upped the power, and wound up bending some stuff. Decided to sell it running but needing a bunch of chassis work to be straight again.

Fixed that one.

he originally wanted to put an LS motor in it but he CRACKED under the pressure of the ANTI-LS CONSORTIUM. 😱

poor guy

The car is real. He dragged it from a field all clapped out. He swapped the engine in, in a small one car garage and got it running. It was tuned by a pro, and up and running well, but he blew the motor. It’s currently being rebuilt.
I actually looked at the car to paint it, but it was going to be more work than I wanted to take on.

I like anything different that is done well, not a swap everyone does, especially across brand lines. Problem is cool older Mopar's go for ridiculous money. Dodge made nothing cool for about 20 years, except for maybe a couple of high end, out of reach vehicles. Kind of like another company today.

Based on my own personal tastes. YMMV.

With this kind of swap, can you call this car a "Trans" National now? 🙂 How does it identify?

Pros:
-Doing his own thing...everyone else can suck his shifter knob if they hate it
-Effort. That's a lot of work, regardless if you like it or not.
-Used a G-body as a platform
-Did something unique with it, at least for now
-Stance
-Tubbed that beech and got the fat azz tires UNDER the car
-Did a good job of keeping things clean and neat under the hood (hardly any useless spaghetti)
-Got a bunch of people talking about it
-Pizzing off the jelly people that they didn't do something unique with their own clapped out GN/Regal/whatever it is

Cons:
-Doesn't appear to be completely thought through when installing that monster engine and what it can do to the frame (looks a bit naked underneath the rear- will it plant?). Not sure of the plans for the suspension/traction, twist part of this equation has come to fruition. Just don't leave it like that or you'll buy a lot of rear tires.
-Wing on the back looking kinda stupid. FE3X wannabe. And it looks stupid, too.
-I'm not a fan of his project, but it is rather unique and hope it gets finished. Did he sell it? I don't do facespace, so I won't bother to look or worry about it.
-Not sure how he came across this hemi, but if it cost him an arm and a leg to obtain, then it isn't in the main vein of the hot rodder credo. If low-bucks, then good on him.
