Holley Sniper EFI. Who’s running one, any opinions, tuning?

I bought it from Summit. It is going in to closed loop. (My understanding of that Isn’t the best.). I haven’t saved any tunes because I haven’t really drove it enough and it’s never been great to save anything.
The saved tune is the one you are running then. When you data log it records what is going on with the timing and fuel. You can replay the recordings on a computer by taking the memory card out of the controller and putting it in a computer. First you need to download the free software from Holley to your computer. I know this sounds foreign to you but it is not all that bad. Once you look at the maps a few times it will start to make more sense. This is all new to me also and am learning as I go. Motorheadmike is a good resource on here when it comes to reading that stuff. If you would have bought it from where I did. Chris would bend over backwards to help you, but beings you brought it from Summit I don't know he will want to help. Holley has a good support program and a forum to help. What distributor are you using? A lot of people have trouble with MSD distributors with the Sniper. I run one and seems to be working ok for me. If you go to the EFI System Pro website, there is some good information on there. You can Email Chris and see if he can help?

You need to have the power and ground for the unit AT THE BATTERY - no exceptions!

And you have to be dead *ss sure that you have no exhaust or vacuum leaks. Vacuum leaks are easy to confirm if there are any, but the exhaust is a bit more demanding. Keep in mind that this system works on feedback from from the MAP sensor and O2 sensor, so vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks skew the performance ALOT.
If you're having an issue, then it's in your setup almost undoubtedly. If you believe it isn't, then contact Holley and they'll help you out. This is one of the easiest self tuning systems out there. They are just about idiot proof unless you have poor power and ground, or exhaust and/or intake leaks.

Lastly, you've driven this 700 miles in the last 3 years? What? Get out and drive your G!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂🙂

What about the intake? I’m running a dual plane. I just read that with this unit I should have a single plane.

I will definitely check everything again as far as power, ground, vacuum, and exhaust leaks. I haven’t drove it much because it isn’t much fun when it acts up all the time. I’m have been driving it more this year and trying to get it tuned in so I don’t want to park it and walk away.

So you did not follow the instructions and recommendations, and now complaining it is not working the way it should? First thing to do is what 64nailhead said. Fix the ground right. Then I would set up the profile again. Fuel pressure needs to be 60psi. Make sure it is. Go back through and follow the instructions. I would not worry about the intake yet. Let's see what happens then?

Why do you say I didn’t follow directions? I read the booklet many times and did what they said for installation. Im not complaining about it, at least I’m not trying to, I’m just trying to figure this thing out and asking for help. I really appreciate all the feedback and help. I am running a filter regulator that sends 60 psi to the unit. So there is no return line. I was told this would work. It’s a GM filter regulator used on LS powered corvette. I thought about running a return line anyway. Again Thanks to everyone and much appreciated for the wisdom.

I would get rid of the gm regulator cause you don't know if you have the correct pressure. I would get the filter/regulator from Holley that has a return on it and put a gauge on it. You have a handheld screen that should tell you what is going on.

So I went over everything and all the wiring is correct. Power and ground go directly to the battery. I figured a fresh start would be best. I went through the setup wizard and started over. I checked my timing and initial is 11.5 and all in at 35. I looked at my stock of -an fittings and I had the parts to put a fuel pressure gauge on but it was the wrong size so I ordered one. My IAC was a little off so I set that and took it for a short drive. it is much better! Other than drive, what would be the next step?
