As long as the system isn't leaking you'll feel pressure on the pedal. I have broken a few parts on a T5 but never the input shaft. Can you see anything thru the opening in the bellhousing
I'll get back to you on that been to busy and frustrated to look under the car. I still got that coolant leak to contend with. 😢

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

Hello all, Ok I found the coolant leak. The heat control valve on the back of the intake was crushed and leaking. My fault during the last time the engine was tilted for transmission install. I had a spare, all fixed.

It could be you overextended the movement on the throw out bearing, it came apart and it's jamming the pressure plate
As i thought about it, You were too right! Great call!

It's good that it is nothing major. You just need to put it back together and make sure it didn't rip a seal. I might of mentioned it, I used an appliance adjuster installed into the firewall with a nut on each side to limit my pedal travel

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

Hey pontiacgp, Do you still have that bearing retainer?
pontiacgp said:
The bearing retainer isn't big or heavy so the mailing costs shouldn't be much. One of the casings I have is damaged so I have an extra bearing retainer so if you want I can send it to you to see if it fits. I'm not asking any money for it....
I saw the Howe unit on Ebay for 139.97 free shipping. I have to save for it, but I will have it. Do you guys think it can fit my -3an ss hose with a adapter?

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

yes I still have a bearing retainer I can send it you. Just pm your address and you can send me the money to cover the shipping after you get the part..

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

Hello all, I got my Howe bearing in the mail today. Now to find out if i can get the shop that made my ss hose to put a -4an on it or get an adapter to use.

Re: Hydraulic clutch set up. Wish me luck.

I used a 4n - 3n adapter on the howe bearing....and don't go by the instructions for a preload on the pressure plate. I did that and had the clutch slipping in a month. Make sure there is a few thou gap between the bearing and pressure plate. All the guys I know who are running a howe in their race cars always install it with a gap.
