I'm kinda new to the site and just wanted to share a video of my 1978 Malibu Classic. It's a .040 over small journal 327 (333 c.i. ) with a mild flat tappet cam, elelbrock performer RPM, holley 750 DP mechanical secondaries. The car has a Ridings Performance Transmission 2004R and a 87 Grand National rear with 3.42 gears and a posi. I've had the car for just over a year. It was the stock 305, metic 3 speed, 7.5 open rear with 2.73 gears when I bought it. This is just a start up with my new exhaust. Headman shorty headers into a 2 1/2" system with x pipe and cutouts. The mufflers are Pro Flow 2 1/2". I like them because they flow more cfm's than Flowmaster and I like the sound. Let me know what you guys think.

sweeeeet!!!
very clean, very tastefull

well done. Nice car! 8)

not a fan of the chrome engine dress-up, but that's just me... should find some old vette alloy style valve covers,

I retract my last statement,

sorry for being a douche...

..... looks alot better than my engine bay

The Chrome dress up stuff was on the 305 that was inthe car when I bought it. I want to eventually go with the Raised text aluminum covers like the ones that come on the ZZ572. The color nearly matches the color of my car perfect. I'm in the Flint area of Michigan. I grew up in Linden, lived in Flushing for a while and now I'm in south east Burton. Are you still in the Flint area ?

Oh wow, you're like 15-20 minutes from my hometown then (Swartz Creek) 😀 I'm living in AZ now, but still have a ton of family up in the area. I graduated from SCHS in 2000, and will likely start heading up there regularly at some point in time or another (my son lives up there with his mom & her husband). My dad grew up in Linden... know the big barn on Linden Rd. about ½ south of Baldwin? That used to be my grandparents' home (my dad pretty much grew up there too). Rebuilt the 2.8 for an S10 I had in that barn, and had some senior pictures taken in front of it... if you're old enough I'm sure you know it wasn't always red though 😉

And a few pictures from way back when (my dad's old '68 Roadrunner)

Darrren, I know exactly where that is. I used to drive by it all the time.Yes I'm old enough t remember it before it was painted. I graduated from Linden in 1989. I grew up out on Seymour Rd just North of Silver Lake Rd. I used to drive Linden Rd all the time, one of my best friends lived on Linden Rd right by Lahring. If you make it back up to Michigan during the summer you should come check out a car cruise that my club puts on every Tuesday in Davison. Here are a bunch of photos of my Malibu. I just took these about 2 months ago. Note the Purple Hornets, those were just to get me home before I put the full exhaust on it.
