This is the second time recently that I have seen this "mufflers under the hood" thing on a Gbody, I don't get why you would cut holes in your fender instead of running full exhaust.
Maybe they are buying twin turbo roller cars and figured this was a good idea?

I also imagine that design must have leak issues? The body flexing on frame and bushings fighting the motor mounts?
