Seriously would not bother with swapping in a G80 gov lock unit IMO, I'd go with a zexel take out unit from a 4th gen fbody and a set of 8.5" 28 spline GN axles.

I don't know why my post was disliked. The Astro Van's are an easy and cheap source, along with S-10's for decent 7.5" gear ratios. I would seriously swap the soft weak spider gears, which I did.

Awesome. I do agree on the Gov Lock or nearly any 7.5" posi is weak. The Torsen or Trutrac worm gear design eliminate tiny spider gears.
