We have a shop in Tucson< I was there last February, when it got down into the 50's one day everyone acted like it was the end of civilization. Even the Javelinas had winter hats on.
Well a person's blood thins out due to the heat in the summer so they can cool faster so when a bit of cold air happens, the heart can't pump the blood fast enough to warm the body. I am not a doctor but I did stay at a Holday Inn Express one night. I liked that commercial............😊

Not to be Captain Obvious, but an OE service manual has all kinds of neat photos/drawings of how things go together, and what order to do things.

Shoot, with the CD versions, you can even print just the pages you need.

I appreciate your suggestion but as I said, unless I feel motivated to go buy a Service Manual🤔, or download one,🤔 and print out pages 🤔or carry the
laptop out to the garage...🤔.......when with a pencil (remember them?) 🤔and paper.........I can sketch a quick picture of what I need to do.👍 All that it
costs me is a little bit of graphite from the pencil and a few pieces of paper if that. That's how OLD SKOOL is done..😎......and I'm a graduate.

REMEMBER FRANK SINATRA'S SONG?????????????????????? Maybe you're too young...............we are just a product of our generations.

Okay read below and see I did cave to pressure............I am so easy...............that's why I am not allowed to answer the door or watch QVC anymore:rofl:

But it doesn't tell you everything. It does show a lot, and it's a great resource, but it doesn't show you where THAT particular bolt goes. The one you have on the cardboard marked #3....

BUT- Digital is much cheaper than paper copies. For only 33 bucks to your door for EVERYTHING.

Here's CD-ROM for 79 Olds Service manual AND 79 Fisher Body manual. It's worth it for servicing the car, not just resto.

Okay, I caved....🙁....I ordered the CD Rom......I'm not against new technology, but I purchased Service Repair Manuals for my old Corvettes and
sorry to say, the printed copies were terrible and all they did was put the bad printed page on a CD and still charge you for it. So let's see
if this investment was a wise one.(insert praying hands here) This was one giant leap😱 for this Man:doh: and an even "gianter":blam: leap for this man's mind. Let's see what happens.😀

Having resource material (paper manuals, CD rom, online, etc) can be invaluable. I don't think you'll regret the purchase. In concert with sketches/photos, you should be all set. Looking forward to more photos of your progress.

Feel lucky. I wish 85 and 87 had manuals on CDs or some other media. I don't mind the manuals, but they're bulky, take up quite a bit of space, and you can't easily be using it while your wrenching without risk of oiling up or tearing up pages. As mentioned before, you need a section to perform a task, print out that page or two, take it with you and if you fugg it up, take a break, have a cold one, and print out another.
