Let's see your battery trunk relocation setup

Well i went with my original plan. They don't make these boxes for side post battery terminals. Oh well. If the rest of the car was as clean as trunk lid I'd be aces! Ha

The one thing I learned from my crash was if you are using an electric fuel pump, only use a plastic strap to hold the battery in. I don't care what the track safety guy tells you, in rollover, you WANT the battery to be thrown out of the car. My motor and fuel pump were shut off in the first of 8 or so rolls. With a steel strap holding the battery in, fuel could have sprayed everywhere before I would able to shut the pump off.

Got to thinking about this and although I agree you can't have a projectile flying around to injure (kill) a spectator. I think a good solution would be an impact - rollover switch which would shut things down immediately and I plan on looking into it. My Sonoma's cut off switch can be activated from outside and inside the cab but that doesn't do any good if your not conscious to activate it. Food for though.

I put a Frod inertia switch in my fuel system design. It's mounting is kind of a pain because it's a little too sensitive, but it's also comforting to know it's easily tripped.

Ford dealerships made lots of money on those when a car comes in with a no start issue

I can post pics, but both of our cars have them them over the wheel well and a piece of aluminum installed as a fire wall.

Regarding UNGN's concern, if our motors stop, then pump shuts off - using a Megasquirt and a Holley.

Might seem like a simple minded question, what pump doesn't shutoff when the motor shuts off? I understand the value of inertia switch as well, but......if upside down or rolling both of our builds will run out of fuel in less than a second and be done in terms of engine running,
