Hmmmm. Coming from the diesel world we always worried about exhaust restrictions and drive pressure. In other words the pressure on the exhaust side which can overcome the exhaust valve springs. But that's obviously a different animal

Oh I definitely thought about it and I’ve seen like 20 setups online with 2.25 out the exhaust manifold. That was a concern I had but the turbos are ready to spin into infinity so they don’t know what restriction is, they will take all the exhaust you’re willing to give it 😂

Passenger side exhaust manifold basically dumps onto the frame, but something like a 90 will fix that.

Same issue on the passenger side... the stock positive block coming from the battery will have to be relocated, no way around it.

Power steering pulley is CLOSE. I may be able to use it still though, with some clearancing... we will see...

Thank you! I’m just glad I have a functional car now lol. We do have a lot of yards, but also keep in mind that I drive 140 miles per day to work. There’s a few yards within that kind of range so I’m always browsing. I’ll admit, I have a yard that’s close enough to look around on lunch breaks 😂

Where are you in Alabama? I spend time in Hoover for work and need some good yards for entertainment. Cool build! Keep the pics coming

That's funny, Hoover is literally where I am looking to move within the next year or two. Im in Auburn. I dont go to Bham usually for yards but I know there's a good Pull-a-part up there that's notorious for really good cars coming through.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I'll try lol

You might be able to get away with switching that cover bolt on the steering box to a round head allen bolt.

Not much progress on the Cutlass but we did do a few things: clearanced the hood and intake manifold with a cutoff disc so I can actually close the hood now. I also cleaned up the H4 conversion harness routing and hid it so that the amount of wires roaming around the engine bay is minimal. It’s all zip tied for now. I’ll find a better solution later.

Also modified my Home Depot radiator top plate so that the spring can touch the core support and let the hood latch. Overall I’m happy.

I’ll admit I have a bit of fail too. Went to the yard and got a 4L80e slip yoke to replace my bolt in one.. and yeah, it’s not the right one. So now, I have to pull the tail housing off to see what’s going on and see if I can shorten it (machine shop and lathe) Kinda annoying but it comes with junkyard builds lol.
