No real update today.. bought these that’ll reduce the exhaust size from 2.5 to 2.25 from the manifolds up to the merge.

Not buying anything today, but rather selling. Originally got the Cutlass for $800, and today I’m selling the wheels for $500, leaving me with total $300 I paid for it. Won’t miss the wheels, they’re too thin.

Trying To decide whether this $500 will turn into a cam and valve springs, or Turbo, drain and feed + a lot of pizza.

So myTCI fast gate came in, thankfully I was at home when it was dropped off because they just left it there on the porch in the open 😐.

I kinda like it.. I thought that it was going to be trash because you can bump it into neutral from 4th but if the throttle gets stuck, that’s a good option to have in a panic.

I stopped by a junkyard and I think I also found the console I want. It’s really versatile and thin like the gbody ones. I’ll look at others before deciding. I refuse to pay $250 for a console

After debating on whether I was going to tune it myself or not.... I decided: I’ll be buying an HP Tuners MPVI today with 8 GM credits for $275. Considering the credits are $50 a piece, I think I’m getting a pretty decent deal lol.

I want to do some experimenting with stock cam and converter with the 3.73s before going with the sloppy standard and stall.

Walked the yards yesterday on my lunch break and stumbled across this 4L80e just relaxing under this Express van. Sooooo... $83 later, it was in the back of my daily.

Took a few days off and I’m back on it.. getting closer. Made a major decision: I’m putting the computer in the car. This implies cutting a hole in the firewall and feeding the harness through. I measured and if I double the harness back, and lengthen the front accessory wires, I have 4”-4.5” of harness with a little slack at the firewall.

To prepare, I Decided to pull the factory computer kick panel out and modify it and the S10 PCM flat bracket to accept the computer since that’s where I want it to be. I’ll epoxy them together, then maybe Fiberglass them together to be one piece and paint it black to match the future color of my interior.

Got the last of my fuel fittings and the metal smaller power steering pulley. With my luck I’d break the plastic one and I don’t want to install it with the engine in the car.

Finally, bought my Vbands. I need to find a good source for 2.5 and 2.25” mild steel piping so that I can make my hot side. Downpipe will be exhaust from a diesel truck. Hopefully they make it before August 25th from New Jersey to Alabama..I could walk and get there faster than that.
