Yup, I need it regardless so just ordered it, thanks again for sharing great info! The main benefit I see is the pressure reduction would probably extend the pump life.

What intake mani is that and any issues closing your hood?Fits great, PS truck lines bolt right up to the later metric steering box. Lines are a bit long but it works. View attachment 132449
I'm using them and just finished up the build and havent had anyone come over to help me try to put my hood back on. I'm thinking between my alternator and my TBSS intake mani, my stock hood might not work. Gonna suck if thats the case as the car was just painted in January. Would have bought a 2" cowl hood then had I thought about this issue.Any of you guys using stock truck accessories have an issue with the alternator sitting too high? I dropped mine in today and no way am I going to be able to close my hood. Holley mounts used. Also, anyone able to retain their factory ac/heater box? Using the motor mount locations Holley recommended it hit the heater box with no chance of fitting, then I moved the mounts towards the front of the car in the next set of holes and it cleared my heater box, but now my power steering pulley wont clear...
Anyone have info on the smaller diameter one and where I can get it?
My stock hood fit with the holley mounts. I have the L76 intake which is identical to the TBSS for a square port. What intake mani is that and any issues closing your hood?

Yup, mines got the DR44 on it. Thank you! I’ll just pick up the smaller case one, was thinking I’d have to relocate it...ugh.
You must have the wrong Holley mounts . They make a few styles . The truck alt and the ac box should fit no problem in a g body . What oil pan are you using ?Any of you guys using stock truck accessories have an issue with the alternator sitting too high? Truck alt did end up fitting, but ac box not until I moved the mounts to the forward most holes in the frame. Then the ps pulley hit the steering box so got the 5” pulley and pressure reducer. Now it all fits...You must have the wrong Holley mounts . They make a few styles . The truck alt and the ac box should fit no problem in a g body . What oil pan are you using ?
