Well took it for a drive again this morning and still same thing is happening. What i still find very odd is how its reaching that low idle really fast?

Do u have and vac leaks? I would go threw all the hoses and such and check.

Its comin off the fast idle quicker because of the outside temp. The thermostatic spring is not wound tight as it would be in the colder temps. What makes u think it is fuel related?

Well today I took it to a family friend who knows more about quadrajets and has worked with them hi whole life so I'll see why he says. But on the drive there I flipped the defroster on because widows were getting foggy from rain and when I went to a stop I heard he idle was high . Doin flicked it off and just like that my hesitation problem was gone. It was back to normal even when the car idled low. Anyone have ideas ?

The defroster turned on your high idle

sounds like you have an electrical problem

start wiggling wires while the car is running

Well i notcied before when i put the AC on Bi Level that also made the car idle high. When its on Vent on economy it idles low

your carb has a solenoid that increases the idle speed when you turn on your ac to compensate for the drag of the compressor. If you turn on the defrost that turns the ac on.

Like I said the defroster turned on your high idle.

But that is not the reason it was bogging.

Somewhere something got stuck, there is a break in a wire or a bad ground.

I would still get under the hood while the car is running and wiggle the wires around. If no changes then hopefully it was a one time thing and something got stuck open or closed.

But if you wiggle the wires around and the problem comes back, then yes you have an electric problem somewhere in the harness.

You may have pinched a wire installing the new carb.

Well thing is the carb has been on close to a month. Driven around 4 times a week so weird it wouldnt have happened sooner. Anyways i have my friend taking a look at it today so he should be a big help! His whole life he has worked with quadrajets so lets hope it comes out working better than before!!! Even with this new carb i was still getting 16-18mpg which is the same as my old shitty carb i had before lol.
