Did the body shop have to make the patch panels for the quarter panel? I am looking at getting one from a friend that I intend to make into a pro street car. The floors are crap and so is the rear section of the frame ,which doesn't mean much since I plan on back halfing the car. I already have the drivetrain and narrowed rear from past project. But I will need the lower rear quarters and drivers door I found a door just did not know if I would have to make the panels or if I could just buy them.

They make replacement outter lower panels for an ElCamino wich can be cut down to work with the wagon with a little ingenuity, thats what we did for my wagon. Had to make a drivers side lower inner quarter from scratch on my car.

Go through the thread and look at the pics you will see what we did.

Small update its now undercoated with the spray on bedliner stuff. Had to scuff the por15 then etch prime for the bedloner material to work correctly. I dont plan on taking in the water but they say it should float now.

Minor things to finess and then it gets cut in then back onto the chassis.

Looks good Ed! At least there is some progress.

I stopped by the shop to check put the bed liner undercoat for myself and took some better pics. It looks awesome we used the POR-truck bed liner it should help with keeping future rust away, road noise, when you knock on the floor it sounds solid now.

I also got the shop to agree on deadlines to keep the progress moving along so I can get the car back in 2014. We set the first date. Jan 25th 2014 body work on the shell 100% and cut in base/clear. All jambs, rockers, glass openings, etc... Then back onto the chassis in early Feb.

Looking good, Ed.
It's good to hear that progress is moving along. Keep the pics coming.
I like the bedliner.

That is quite a difference and major improvement. What are you planning to use in the interior as far as sound deadening/insulation?
