When I was a kid I watched my new neighbor across the street paint his entire van with a roller in the driveway.
Beside this the smaller amount of paint mixed the greater chance of not being a good/close match. If you want to use a "spray bomb", get maybe a pint or quart with everything needed to spray & get a Preval sprayer (https://preval.com/) then you'll have a better chance of a good match with a formula that you can have remixed when/if you need more.I have used https://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm
With good results about a 1/2 different times on different cars.
The problem is your paint is old and weathered even if it doesnt look it.
This paint is new.
A shop can match the weathered color.
The trick is to fade the paint into the old paint with something like an overspray
